Come explore scenes from history, with interesting displays for all ages at the Ohio History Center. Then, REALLY step into the past with a visit next door at Ohio Village!
From photographs taken through the years to dinosaur bones, to exhibits about race and ethnicity in Ohio, and interactive exhibits for children young and old, the History Center is the museum to explore all things Ohioan.
Exhibits often change, so visit the website to see what’s at the museum when you want to go. We highly recommend spending a whole day here! ADA accessible for our friends and neighbors with disabilities and who have small children in strollers.
Ohio Village is a living history exhibit that is a recreated 19th century Ohio town, and is located on the grounds of the History Center. With costumed docents, educational and fun activities and programs, it has become a favorite field trip for local schools and groups! Create a 19th century Ohio craft, hear stories of the age, and see how our Ohio ancestors lived, played, celebrated, and worked back then.
Admission is $16.00 for adults, $14.00 for Seniors or college student with ID, $10.00 for children 4-12, and children 3 and under and Historical Society Members are free. Admission to the museum includes admission to the Ohio Village unless there is a special program going on, then it’s an additional cost. Consult the website.
Typically open Weds-Sat 10am-5pm for the summer.
