Real Estate Fact: Warren Buffett, one of the wealthiest men in the world still lives in the same house he bought in 1958. He paid $31,500 for it.
Expanded Fact: Mr. Buffett is well known for his savvy investments, but he’s also become known for his frugal lifestyle as well. Investopedia quotes him as saying that his number one investment strategy is “Don’t lose money”, and that careful frugality carries through to his personal and real estate life as well as his mission as an investor. Why buy a mansion that will cost you big bucks in real estate taxes when you can own a beautiful family home?
Fun Fact: Warren Buffett has earned the same $100,000 salary from his investment company for the past 25 years. No raises!
