Galloway is an unincorporated community west of Columbus and south of Prairie Township in Franklin county, Ohio. Between I-70 to the north; Norton and Alkire Roads to the east, Big Darby Creek to the West, and 665 to the south, Galloway is often listed as the mailing address even when the homes maybe located within Franklin County and into Columbus. Galloway Road and Sullivant Avenue is the official center of Galloway according to the post office.
A mostly rural area, Galloway is slowly filling in with reasonably priced developments including single family homes, apartments, and a few condo communities. Shopping, dining and culture are found in the nearby capitol city, within an easy drive. Families quickly discover 4-H and FFA are popular organizations here, as are both Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts.
Mostly served by South-Western City School District, portions of the Galloway area are also served by Hilliard and Columbus Schools.
