Lewis Center History
Lewis Center, Ohio, was founded in 1850, around a railroad station, after local landowner William Lewis, who donated the land for naming rights. Growing in population and commerce, it’s an unincorporated township in the greater Orange Township. Lewis Center is east of Powell, North of Polaris, and South of Delaware.
Education in Lewis Center
Because of the lack of incorporation, Lewis Center collects no city tax of its own, but neighborhoods pay for the services they use. Children living in Lewis Center attend Olentangy Local School District, which is constantly growing and adding new schools to accommodate the population growth.
